Newman “Smiles for MacKids”

A May 3rd civvies day at Cardinal Newman Secondary School was reason for both students and McMaster Children’s Hospital to smile.

The “Smiles for MacKids” fundraising event raised $2,200 for the 3F Oncology/Hematology Clinic at McMaster Children’s Hospital. The hospital is one of the top Pediatric Academic Health Science Centres in Canada.

“It has long been the tradition within the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board to encourage students to become involved in the community, both locally and globally,” says Principal Dean DiFrancesco. “The students and staff at Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School were very excited to be able to raise money for those at McMaster Children's Hospital.”

Cardinal Newman has raised over $6,000 in the past three years for McMaster Children's Hospital.
